Kelly, originally from upstate NY, was a competitive gymnast for 10 years before she found the sport of track and field. She pursued her doctorate in physical therapy at Northeastern University in Boston, MA while competing on the Division 1 Track and Field team in the pole vault. Following the end of her collegiate career, she found that crossfit was the perfect combination of her athletic strengths to remain physically active and competitive.
As a physical therapist, she believes crossfit promotes fitness to keep people out of sickness and disease and into health and wellness. Kelly works with clients experiencing injury to strengthen, reduce pain, improve performance and educate how to temporarily train around pain, so members can still feel apart of the community. She strongly believes you can continue to attend classes, improve your fitness and remain active in the gym through injury. Kelly’s favorite part of her job is assisting people back into full activity and exceeding their performance prior to injury. Becoming an addition to the coaching staff has been a great opportunity to be able to reach more members to assist them in their fitness journey!
