Mark was born and raised in a Chicago suburb, Lombard. He grew up with 2 older brothers and EVERYTHING was a competition! Whether it was who got to use the bathroom first, who got the last cup of milk, or playing pick-up basketball in the driveway, they were competing. So at a young age he became a pretty competitive person. This led him into his athletic career as sports became a huge part of his life. Growing up he played everything from golf to football and anything in between. In high school, he played football and baseball all 4 years and joined the cheer team for his Junior and Senior years. Post high school, he continued his cheerleading career collegiately at Illinois State University.Being a part of so many different teams really helped drive that competitive nature within him. Looking back at it now, the thing he truly enjoyed was the camaraderie of being a part of a team. Just being with his teammates, whether it was those 5am practices or game day, they were always together, competing, pushing each other, and most importantly having fun! The day he entered Windy City that feeling immediately came back. He has not looked back since!Mark has been coaching Strength & Conditioning full time ever since graduating from Illinois State University (2013) with a Degree in Exercise Science. Mark has trained an array of athletes with various different skill sets and abilities, from your Division 1 athlete who wants to play at the next level, to your everyday person who wants to be able to run around and play with their children. He keeps each individual athlete in mind in order to help them get to where they want to be!
